Arnold Wiegand from Germany was swiming very fast till a too hard currennt stopped his attempt. Only 1,5 kilometres seperated him in his Solo-Beltquerung from the coast of the island Fehmarn.
The german Heike Braun established a new record and is now on the second position of the Beltquerung.
