The 25.07.1939 started Karl-Heinz Rauert from Fehmarn his Beltquerung from Fehmarn to Danmark. He finished as the first swimmer with success the Beltquerung. He hold the record exactly 60 years and nobody repeated it. While his Beltquerung he was escorted by a fisherboat with captain, mate and his father. Rauert had to wait a long time for his attempt because of bad weather. | |
